Job Opening: IT Inside Sales and Marketing Analyst
- London, England

MarketOne International is a sales and marketing consultancy that specializes in helping IT companies with their go-to-market strategy. We provide our clients with industry best practices in sales lead development, and actionable sales and marketing intelligence for strategic and tactical planning. Our core business is providing executive level lead development services on a worldwide basis thanks to our team of multilingual analysts (all native to their region). We work collaboratively with our clients’ field sales and marketing teams to ensure marketing-sourced opportunities are accepted into the sales pipeline.

The team:

You will join a team of international analysts (currently over 11 nationalities are represented) who have on average 6 years business experience, a strong IT background and a university degree (at minimum). Over 50% of our team has a postgraduate degree and analysts typically speak a minimum of two languages with native fluency (for UK positions we will consider applicants without a second language).

Languages required:

We currently require native UK Analysts.

Description:

You will be responsible to build a comprehensive map of the client's most strategic prospects, identifying areas of need, profiling the decision-making process, and interviewing key decision-makers to conduct a needs assessment and internal agendas. Through the use of peer-to-peer conversations with senior executives, you will speak to multiple individuals in each target company -- line of business managers, IT managers, finance executives -- to gain a cross-functional view of the enterprise and its purchasing behavior. A background in inside sales for a technology company focusing on Enterprise accounts would be advantageous, as would a background in Market research (Gartner Group / Ovum / IDC / Forrester etc).

Projects can be of both domestic and international scope. Working in small teams or individually, this position will have direct interface with the client's sales and marketing teams.

This is not a selling position; however you must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the decision-maker and get past the gatekeeper
  • Be a good listener with the skill to extract information without alienating
  • Possess strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Translate and provide insight into the interviews
  • Remain focused and work within strict time constraints

Additional information:

Job Opening: Sales and Marketing Analyst - London, England
Based in Chiswick, West London, Boardwalk Marketing Group Europe specialises in high volume lead generation, contact list development, event recruitment and response management. Boardwalk's focus on quality, flexibility and consultative campaign management ensures the success of direct marketing programs for a wide variety of technology firms.

Languages required

We currently require native Dutch speakers. Applications from other native European language speakers are welcomed and will be considered for future vacancies.

The Team

You will join a team of international analysts who typically demonstrate:

  • Very strong telephone skills (Analysts achieve 80 – 120 outbound calls/day, translating to an average of 1.5 hours of talk time).
  • Experience in B2B Sales or Marketing.
  • Bilingual and native speaker language capabilities.
  • Good understanding of IT/Enterprise solution applications such as CRM, ERP, Compliance Solutions, Web-based Technology or Telecommunications and Networking.
  • Good knowledge of the native country markets & business environment.

The Role

A Sales and Marketing Analyst’s primary function is to conduct research and develop lead opportunities for our client’s services or solutions over the phone. An analyst is responsible for documenting this information by compiling accurate, clear, concise reports (in English) for our clients.
Whilst this is not a selling position you must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the decision-maker and get past the gatekeeper
  • Collect the names, titles, addresses, phone numbers, email details within selected LOB and IT areas to 100% accuracy.
  • Be a good listener with the skill to engage decision-makers on the phone
  • Develop lead opportunities by qualifying accounts and collecting information that includes business pains and data such as timelines, project teams, budget and competitive information.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Translate and provide insight into the interviews and participate in conference calls with Clients to articulate various trends in the market and further outline lead opportunities.
  • Remain focused and work within strict time constraints whilst managing goals and objectives of multiple projects at the same time.

Additional information

Knowledge of Microsoft Access as well as experience of working in CRM applications such as salesforce.com or Siebel would be beneficial, although training will be provided to successful candidates.

We seek individuals with a minimum of 3 years' experience within a business-to-business sales or marketing environment; and at least one year of experience with inside sales or business development. A background in technology markets is strongly preferred. Undergraduate degree required / post graduate degree preferred.
