MarketOne Barbados Commences Its Third Year of Operations

ST. MICHAEL'S, BARBADOS, January 20, 2009 - MarketOne initiated its third year in Barbados today, following completion of more than 80 successful client campaigns. Celebrating this milestone with a visit are three managers from MarketOne's headquarters, including Fred Ewald, Chief Executive Officer.

The Barbados operation provides teleservices and data services including Contact Discovery, Event Recruitment, Profiling/Surveys, Sales Lead Development, and Appointment Setting. Campaigns have been stand-alone, multi-month, and outsourcings of entire departments.

MarketOne selected Barbados for its large professional workforce, familiarity with North American culture, and a literacy rate that matches US levels. The nation regularly scores among the highest in all of the Americas in several business categories. Independent from Britain since 1966, Barbados boasts the Caribbean's largest university and premier hospitals. Several thousand Barbadians are employed by outbound and inbound teleservices companies.

Since 2000, MarketOne has been investigating offshore sites that enable it to uphold high quality levels. “We tested Europe, Asia, and the Middle East,” explained Fred Ewald, “in addition to testing alternative models in the US. Our staff needs to thrive when they're on the phone, pushing just enough to politely uncover a sales opportunity or find business pain. We couldn't find this until we arrived here, where success was obvious and immediate.”

This is the fourth operation established by MarketOne. Other offices outside of the United States are in London and Tokyo. Another office is planned as an alternative to the London office, as a lower-cost option for several European languages. Globally, MarketOne's employees speak over 20 languages.

The Barbados operation covers 18,000 square feet and is located in the Wildey Industrial Park, eight miles from the airport and one block from the US embassy. MarketOne (Barbados) SRL is a wholly owned subsidiary of MarketOne International, LLP. It is led by MarketOne's former Director of EMEA Operations, who spent five years in MarketOne's London office.
