Business Development Representative (BDR)

Boston

We are looking for a tenacious, curious and creative Business Development Representative to be a critical part of our growing sales team.  In this role, you will source, nurture and qualify leads for our marketing advisory and production services.  Work closely with our Tele Services team as well as our Business Development team to develop and perfect our outreach strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career or who desires to make a pivot into sales and/or marketing

 The role: day-to-day activities

  • Conduct high-volume prospecting to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • Work closely with the demand generation team to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies
  • Present MarketOne content and identify when to escalate a conversation to an senior member of the team
  • Profile prospects for qualified opportunities into assigned Key and Tier 1-3 New Prospect Accounts
  • Build a pipeline through individual prospecting, lead qualifying, and cross-selling/up-selling into our customer base as well as targeting new logos
  • Deliver presentations focused on “About MarketOne” and “MarketOne Core Value Propositions & Deliverables” to prospective buyers

 What you need to succeed

  • Candidates should display a good understand of B2B sales process and show an aptitude or interest in sales or marketing
  • Ability to call within all levels of an organization to identify decision makers, gather information
  • Able to nurture long-term customer relationships by establishing trust and credibility
  • Confidence, motivation, communication skills, curiosity and desire to learn
  • Highly motivated and professional with excellent communication skills, confident and goal-oriented
  • Ethics, integrity, and humility with a desire to operate as part of a team
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to help drive innovation across the business

 Requirements

  • BA Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of sales experience, ideally in a B2B context
  • A track record of high achievement
  • Good understanding of B2B marketing and demand generation or strong aptitude and desire to learn business concepts
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales technology is a plus (SFA, MarTech and AdTech)
  • Experience with NetSuite CRM, JIRA, Eloqua MAP and Marketo M
