MarketOne Japan celebrates its 10th birthday
More than 40 staff mark the occasion in style.
On 14th October, MarketOne Tokyo celebrated the tenth anniversary of the company’s founding in 2006.
Joined by the partners – never ones to miss out on the opportunity to celebrate – the Japanese team dusted off their dinner jackets and ceremonial kimonos and ventured to the 37th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for cocktails, accompanied by stunning views of the sun setting over the distant Mount Fuji. A celebratory dinner was followed by an unforgettable performance from the Tokyo house band, which had everyone on their feet.
In the ten years since Rieko Yamada formed the company from a small office in Kojimachi, the company has grown considerably and now employs over 40 full time staff and contractors, based in Nihonbashi. Capabilities have extended from telemarketing into the full range of digital, technology and data-driven demand generation services, delivered to a number of high profile B2B clients.
Rieko commented, “The last ten years have flown by. I’m not sure when we started that any of us believed we’d be where we are today. But thanks to the hard work of some extremely dedicated people and the loyalty of our wonderful customers, I think it’s reasonable to claim we’re now the leading B2B demand generation specialist operating in the Japanese market. I’m very proud.”
